Several important collections, including that of Thomas H. Dodge, comprised the bulk of the material in this sale, the highlight of the Spring 1984 auction season. Some of the highpoints of the auction were a very early 3rd phase Navajo chiefs blanket that brought $29,700, a magnificent Hopi polychrome jar that sold for $16,500, and a Haida wood rattle that went for $22,000.
