A small, extremely fine collection of Northwest Coast art was donated in 1991 to the Seattle Art Museum by the collector, John Hauberg. This very handsome volume presents 108 of the 183 objects in the collection in wonderful photographs, and contains a particularly fine text complemented by comments and essays from noted Native scholars and artists. In addition to remarkable color and archival photographs, the catalogue explores in great depth clan ownership and the use of objects within larger tribal groupings.
