Almost 100 terra cotta figures and heads--perhaps dating from the 12th-16th centuries--were exhibited in 1982 at the Craft Caravan Gallery. This catalouge of that exhibition illustrates each object and provides (for the first time in any publication?) a very complete look at the diverse range of these lovely burial site terra cottas that were excavated in territories inhabited by the present day Bambara.
