This article, in this almost 90 year old publication (mint condition), provides an interesting contrast to today's view of 17th-19th century Eskimo pictorial art. The ivory and antler objects, all in the University Museum's collection, are beautifully carved, and the large photographs show the fine details of the carving. Also included in this volume is "Dwarfs and Divinity in West Africa" by H.U. Hall--20 pages, with two photogarphs of a Benin plaque.
