Figures, masks, headdresses, and dance hats from New Guinea and New Britain, all woven from basketry and bark--were exhibited in 1990 at the Galerie Meyer. Though many of the pieces were created after 1940, all had been used in ceremonies or feasts. The photographs are very good; the descriptions and captions (in English and French) are very complete.
