A complement to the seminal 1985 Tabwa catalogue, Tabwa, the Rising of a New Moon: A Century of Tabwa Art, this catalogue of the Tabwa collection of the Royal Museum of Central Africa adds one additional major publication to the very slender body of publications on the art of this people. Because objects were collected as early as 1882, the collection is unique due to the presence of provenience and collection data. The text (in French and Flemish) provides an analysis of the objects; the photographs illustrate objects not in the 1985 catalogue.
